ADDITIONAL NOTES:
the cherry blossom season is a huge celebration in japan. but the blossoms are only a part of the story --- in cities across japan, people come out to spend time together outside, eating great foods, drinking sake, and enjoying the arrival of spring.
above, the food and fest of tokyo, as its citizens wait under the cherry trees. more japan on this site.

plusles on a stick!! kawaii! i want.
Wow, the Japanese are quite creative in what they put on sticks. :) I love the colourful sprinkles in the second picture & the bunni lollies are too cute. Also, are those whole fish on sticks?
I've always wanted to see the cherry blossom festivals in person... I think I missed the LA celebration this year.
Are hanami and sakura-related festivities still going on? I thought the "blossom wave" had made its way north to around Tokushima by now...
Lovely photos, at any rate!
~xlnt color in that second shot, are they bananas?~
Once again -- sugoiii desu neee.

That seventh photo has my mouth watering!
