ADDITIONAL NOTES:

Bilbao, Spain: In an open factory-style market located in the Old Quarter, there is a floor where local vendors supply the town with fresh fish. The Riverside Market's current building was built in 1929, but it has been the center of trade since the 14th century. Today, the weekday buyers were all local, many were older, and all stood in front of the stalls enjoying the artistry of the vendors' large-knifed cuts. Fish parts were splattered on the vendors' clothes, hands, and faces.

Local food markets in other parts of the world are here and here, and the last fish market I visited here on this site. More Riverside Market to come.

Haven't these people heard of Van de Kamp's Bake and Serve Fish Sticks. No mess, bake at 450° for about 12 - 16 minutes depending on how crunchy you like them and wham... a tasty treat for the whole family. At least, you won't have to sever Mr. Limpits head before you cook'em. What a proud American hero he was, you know he saved us from the Nazi subs during WWII.
